About eSIMs
What is an eSIM?
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built directly into your device. Instead of inserting a physical SIM card, you simply scan a QR code to activate mobile data – no swapping SIMs, no visiting a phone shop, no waiting for delivery.
How is an eSIM different from a regular SIM card?
A physical SIM is a small plastic card you insert into your phone. An eSIM is digital – it’s already built into your device and can be activated instantly online. You can also keep your existing SIM active at the same time, so you keep your home number while using your Safarvia eSIM for data abroad.
Will an eSIM work alongside my existing SIM?
Yes. Most modern smartphones support dual SIM – meaning you can keep your regular SIM card active for calls and texts while using your SafarVia eSIM for data. You won’t miss any calls or messages from home.
How many eSIMs can I have on my device?
How many eSIMs can I have on my device?
Most devices can store multiple eSIM profiles but only use one at a time for data. You can switch between them in your device settings whenever you need to.
